Obituary
Edna A. Owens, 83, a resident of Miller's Merry Manor, died at 8:45 a.m. Saturday (June 19, 1993) at the nursing home. A former resident of Riverview Terrace Apartments, she had been employed as a clerk by SupeRx Drugs. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She was born April 8, 1910 in Huntington, a daughter of Oscar and Minnie Bell Mamau Rankin. She married John A. Owens June 6, 1934; her husband died June 30, 1971. Surviving are a daughter, Janet L. Young, Huntington; two brothers, Larry Rankin, Freemont, Ohio, and Forrest Rankin, Phoenix, Ariz.; a sister, Ethel Murphy, Santa Rosa, Calif.; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Warren Rankin; and three sisters, Myrtle McMillian, Audrey Judy, and Dorothy Schultz. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. at Deal & Robbins Funeral Home, with recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, with Father Ron Rieder officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
