CHARLES N. "CURLEY" ERNSTES Sr., 67, Indianapolis, died Sunday. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday In Little Flower Catholic Church, of which he was a member. Calling will be from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. today in Shirley Brothers Drexel Chapel. He had founded Metro Elevator Co. and owned the business 24 years, retiring in 1992. Mr. Ernstes was a Merchant Marine veteran of World War II. Memorial contributions may be made to the church. Survivors: wife, Rita J. Mumaugh Ernstes; daughters, Veronica C. Becky L.. Cecilia S. and Clarice Y. Ernstes: son, Charles N. Ernstes II; sisters, Betty Malin, Lucy Corder and Leona Marlett; brothers, Carl, Alf and John Ernstes; 11 grandchildren.
