Veronica C. Ernstes
67, of Indianapolis, passed away August 7, 2017. She was born July 17, 1950 in Indianapolis to the late Charles N. and Rita J. Mumaugh Ernstes. Veronica was a graduate of St. Mary's Academy and Marian College. She was employed as a Contracting Officer for the National Guard for 35 years, retiring in 2010. Veronica was a devoted and long-time member of Little Flower Catholic Church. She was an avid traveler and visited all 50 states and 14+ countries. Veronica enjoyed spending quality time with family and friends and talking their ear off! And, she loved a bargain.
Visitation will be Friday, August 11, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:45 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, August 12th at 10:00 a.m. at Little Flower Catholic Church, 4720 E. 13th St., with visitation there from 9:00 a.m. until the time of mass.
Veronica is survived by daughter, Valerie Decker (Amy); sons, John (Kylie) and Charles Murdock (Megan); grandsons, Ryland and Sawyer; sisters, Becky, Ceil and Clar; brother, Charlie and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters; Rita Ernstes and Debbie Clegg.
