Olga Huckola was a Royer by blood, but was raised apart from her brother & sisters. Her mother Julia was institutionalized shortly after her birth. She was raised by Nick Huckola of Shenandoah PA, whom Julia had married in 1925 (an arranged marriage at the age of 15) and immediately ran away from. Julia then married Leo Clay Royer Sr. in 1926, but was not divorced from Nick Huckola. She later left Leo and her 4 children and ended up back with Nick already pregnant with Olga. Olga's birth certificate names Nick Hocklow as her father. Olga was reunited with her Royer siblings as a young woman.
