There are several documents which are important in identifying the fact that two of Nicholas' daughters married Mumma men. In Nicholas's Will, he identifies that his daughter, Barbara, married John Mumma. John is the one who founded Mummasburg and migrated to York County, PA. This John was the son of David Mumma, the son of immigrant Leonard Mumma. David sold his Hempfield property to his son John and moved to Baltimore, Maryland with all of his remaining children
Another daughter of Nicholas, Susanna, is identified as being unmarried in Nicholas' Will. Nicholas' daughter, Elizabeth, was unmarried and received a share of her father's estate. When Elizabeth died unmarried, she left much of her estate to her siblings. One of her siblings is identified as Susanna who married a John Mumma. This John was a son of immigrant Peter Mumma.
A further examination of the Lancaster County records reveals additional data about John Baughman, who died intestate about October 8, 1757 and other persons related to George Anthony Mumma.
The bond on the estate of John Baughman shows that the letters of administration were issued to George Mumma and Nicholas Bower, which clearly connects George Mumma and Nicholas Bower with John Baughman.
