Funeral services for Roscoe Clyde "Bill" Moomaw will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Pletcher Funeral Home, with the Rev. Charles Turner officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Litchfield.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Moomaw, 85, 407 Plum St., died Friday in St. Joseph's Hospital in Alton.
A printer, Mr. Moomaw had worked for the Intelligencer both before and after employment with the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, where he retired in 1956.
Mr. Moomaw was born on Sept. 13, 1889, in Girard. His parents were the late Charles W. and Matilda Young Moomaw.
He was married to Martha Sawyer on July 27, 1947, in Bunker Hill. She survives. Mr. Moomaw's first wife, Clara, died in 1944.
Also surviving are daughters Mrs. Joseph P. (Nadine) Walker of Litchfield, Mrs. C.S. (Zelda) Goodall of Lakeview, Ark., Mrs. Carl P. (Maxine) Reimringer of Topeka, Kan., and Mrs. William A. (Barbara) Pfeifer of Lynchburg, Va., nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. L.V. (Grace) Campbell of Springfield, and brothers Dale Moomaw of Clinton and Ray Moomaw of Jackson, Tenn.
One sister and one brother preceded him in death.
Mr. Moomaw was a 64-year member of the International Typographers Union.
