Mrs. Victorine M. Morgan
SNYDER'S LANDING - Mrs. Victorine Mumma Morgan, died Sunday Morning at her home her after a long illness.
A retired art teacher, she taught for many years at the Antietam Street School and South Potomac Junior High School in Hagerstown.
Born in Sharpsburg, she was the daughter of Victor and Buelah Wilson Mumma.
She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church of Sharpsburg, the Maryland and National Retired Teachers Association, the Sharpsburg Republican Club, the Maryland Historical Society, the national Trust for Historic Preservation and the Alumni Association of Towson State College and Shepherd College.
She is survived by her husband, Leon K. Morgan; one daughter; Mrs. Ellender Edwards of Rockville; one son, Bonnard J. Morgan of Boonsboro; two sisters, Mrs. Virginia Hildebrand of Hagerstown and Mrs., Eleanor Bell of Seabrook; four brothers, Victor Reichard Mumma Jr., of Boonsboro; Samuel Calvin Mumma of Hagerstown; Dr. Edwin Wilson Mumma of Norman, Oklahoma and Wilmer M. Mumma of Sharpsburg; and four grandchildren.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Canon Trible officiationg. Burial will be in Mt. View Cemetery in Sharpsburg.
