(Wilmer) Lloyd Mumaw passed away unexpectedly on March 19, 2024 in his home farm.
Lloyd was born in Massillon on June 9, 1946, to Stanford and Lavinia Mumaw. He married Ferne (Steckle) Mumaw on July 21, 1973. She survives.
Lloyd graduated from Central Christian High School, Hesston College, and Goshen College.
After teaching physical education and coaching basketball at Rosthern Jr. College, he and Ferne moved back to Ohio to farm. In recent years he was active in Farm Bureau and hauled lumber for DRYCO. He volunteered at CAMO, MCC Connections, Relief Canning, and Growing Hope Globally.
Surviving are children Heidi (Brian) Frye and Brad (Kim) Mumaw and grandchildren Ian, Scott and Connor Frye, Braden Mumaw, Ava, Sydney and Makenna Bracken and siblings Maxine (Leroy) Yoder, Elsie Maiwurm, Luci (Norm) Shank and Loretta (Roger) Baur. Both his parents and an infant brother are deceased.
Calling hours will be held from 12:00 to 3:00 pm on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Martin?s Mennonite Church, Orrville, 14027 Church Road, Orrville. A memorial service will follow at the church at 3:30 pm.
Burial of ashes we be at Martin's Cemetery at a later date.
