Note: From the census records it appears that Geoge and Margaret separated sometime between 1895 and the 1900 census. The 1910, 1920 & 1930 census lists Margaret as a "widower",
George Mumaw, whose mother's maiden name was Rice, died in Los Angeles in 1941 according to the California Death Index. He is listed in the 1900, 1910, 1920 and 1930 census living with various relatives listed as "single" in some, "widowed" in others and even "married".
