Israel and Simon Mumma moved their families from Rothsville, Warwick Twp., Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania to Mifflintown, Fermanagh Twp., Juniata Co., Pennsylvania about 1864. Simon's line still remains there. Israel moved his family from Mifflintown to the Pratt City area of Birmingham, Alabama about 1884.

Note: Samuel and the children of Simon's line added the "h" to Mumma.
When Israel's wife died in 1891, he married Margaret Suther in 1892. Israel, Margaret, and her daughter, Mary Jane, moved back to Rothsville, PA and located near his original homeplace. Israel died in Rothsville in 1901 so Margaret and her daughter returned to Birmingham.
Israel signed as a witness to his brother's Will written in 1885 and he used his mark, so both brothers were not literate.
