Notes:
Alfred moved from Canada to Pine Plains, Allegan County,
Michigan Feb. 6, 1837 with his father George Clark Muma. Alfred
was 15 years old. The county was forest. Alfred belonged to
F&M #212 in Canada but did not transfer to the USA. He was a
democrat, active in local affairs on the county board of
supervisors, Highway Commissioner, Justice of Peace -- this
appears to be between 1852 and 1892. Alfred was Highway
Commissioner for 19 years and Justice of the Peace in 1852.
(The recorded date of the book from which this information was
taken is 1892, at the Burton Collection in the Detroit Public

It is very likely that Alfred and Anna had another child by the name of Clara who is listed in the U.S. Federal Census Mortality Schedules, 1850-1880 > Michigan > Allegan > Gunplain. She would have been born about June 1859. His brother, Ebenezer has a chlld born 1959, so it would rule him out.
