BUEL, MRS. GEORGE A. ( Gertrude Frederika Momma)
She died at their home in Howard, Kansas 14 Aug. 1904, age 30 years, 7 months 29 days. She had been in ill health for two years. She went to Colorado this summer to see if it would help her health, but the altitude caused violent hemorrhage of the lungs. She was brought home and lived just a few days.
Gertie Momma, the youngest child and daughter of Nicholas and Fredericka Momma, was born in Longton, Kansas and came to Howard, Kansas, with her parents when she was about three years of age. Here she grew to womanhood and married and ended her days passing away from us while life was still young. She had a happy disposition, she loved her home and friends.
About 10 years ago she married George A. Buel.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and for years a member of the choir. She had a sweet soprano voice and from childhood she had been a favorite with the music loving folks from Howard. Numerous entertainment and concerts she has assisted with her solos and songs.
Services were conducted at the home. Officiating was Rev. J. C. Reeve. A quartet from the Presbyterian Church sang the hymns she liked best.
