Lovata Lee Sherman Jenkins, age 76, of Strasburg, passed away, Saturday, June 1, 2013, at her home.
A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, at Stover Memorial Chapel, Strasburg with Pastor Dusty Dillman officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Strasburg.
Mrs. Jenkins was born November 30, 1936 in Middletown, a daughter of the late John William and Lora Mumaw Sherman. She was a homemaker and the wife of the late Walter Jenkins, Jr.
Surviving are her sons, Kevin E. Jenkins and Brian K. Jenkins, both of Strasburg; her grandchildren, Andy Jenkins, Stephen Jenkins, Kevin Jenkins, Jr., Michael Jenkins, Gregory Jenkins, Bobby Jenkins and Ginny Jenkins Romero; numerous great-grandchildren; three sisters, Jean "Sis" Middleton of Strasburg, Viola Dunmire of Stafford and Roxie Scheuch of Martinsburg, WV.
She was preceded in death by parents, husband, two sons, Terry W. Jenkins and Dana L. Jenkins; two sisters, Eva Keeler and Lena Sherman; and two brothers, Buddy Sherman and Curtis Sherman.
Pallbearers will be Dean Elbon, Sean Williams, Marcus Ritenour, Ken Showalter, William Conner, Brian Ludwig and Scott Stickley. Honorary pallbearers will be Sherrie Edwards, Tabitha Robinson, Theresa Barrow, Debbie Rosenberger, Ashley Gue, Debbie Ludwig and Penny Conner.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. till service time on Tuesday.
Stover Funeral Home, Strasburg is in charge of arrangements.
