Ruby Jean "Sis" Middleton, 86, a resident of Strasburg, VA, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Consulate Health Care of Woodstock, VA.
A graveside service for Mrs. Middleton will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2016 in St. Stephens Cemetery with Rev. Darrell George officiating.
She was born in Shenandoah County, VA on April 18, 1929, a daughter of the late John William and Lora Mumaw Sherman.
She was retired from the former Lear Corp.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Howard Middleton; a son, Daniel Middleton Jr.; and siblings, Eva Keeler, Lena Sherman, Ralphard "Buddy" Sherman, Curtis Sherman, Roxie "Granny" Scheuch, and Lovata "Tooty" Jenkins.
Survivors include her children, Joyce Clem (Roger) of Woodstock, VA, Linda Peer (Tommy) of Tennessee, and Brenda Copeland (Sammy) of Strasburg, VA; her grandchildren, Tammy Barton (Alex), Cheryl Peer, Amy Horton (Nick), and Kimberly Holst (Kevin); her great-grandchildren, Caleb Barton (Krista), Matthew Barton, Makayla Barton and Gabriel Horton; one sister, Viola Dunimer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
