Lillian Bernice Dockter, 87, of 17945 Reiff Church Road, Hagerstown, died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, at Washington County Hospital. Born Feb. 21, 1913, in Fairplay, she was the daughter of the late William Stanley and Florence Ensminger Mumma. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay E. Dockter, in 1990. She was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Lappans. She attended Senior Citizens Keenagers at Grace Brethren Church; and was a member of Homemakers of Maugansville. She is survived by a son, Jack A. Pike of Maugansville; three sisters, Lena Moats of Belen, N.M., G. Rosalie Childress of Clearwater, Fla. and Ardath Mullendore of Smithsburg; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lavonne A. Clark; a son, Merritt J. Pike; and 13 sisters and brothers. Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North in Hagerstown. The Rev. Anne O. Weatherholt will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in Hagerstown. The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 18313 Lappans Road, Boonsboro, MD 21713; or American Diabetes Association, Maryland Area Office, 3120 Timanus Lane, Suite 106, Baltimore, MD 21244-2883."
