FORRESTON - Mrs. W. W. (Susan E.) Buckley, operator of the Forreston Journal several years, died Friday evening in a Shannon nursing home, where she resided the past two years.
Mr. and Mrs. Buckley operated the Forreston Journal many years. After Mr. Buckley's death in 1921, Mrs. Buckley continued operations until 1929. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and was a 1901 graduate of Forreston High School. She was born in Forreston, May 22, 1883, daughter of Samuel and Nellie (Cheeseman) Mumma. She married W. W. Buckley on July 4, 1917, in Forreston.
Mrs. Buckley is survived by a brother, Dr. Claude Mumma of Santa Monica Calif.; and two sisters, Miss Marjorie Mumma of Hinsdale, and Mrs. Gordon (Dorothy) Swift of Forreston. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Dougherty-DeGraff Funeral Home. Rev. Ronald Graham, pastor of Faith Lutheran Church, Forreston, will officiate. Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday afternoon and evening.
